    Specific duties include but are not limited to

    GatesAir is seeking a highly skilled Director of Business & Market Development to fill a role within our EMEA sales team reporting directly to the Managing Director - EMEA. This person must demonstrate competent knowledge of business activity within the EMEA market and develop strategic plans to ensure that sales and growth goals are met. This role is to be located in UK or Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for:


    • Prospecting and engaging with clients who are not currently GatesAir clients.
    • Re-engaging with historical dormant accounts and partners.
    • Planning, managing and participating in regional customer events. Ensuring all relevant product lines are represented. Effectively use digital campaigns with GatesAir marketing to ensure maximum attendance at these events.
    • Closely engage with GatesAir marketing team to ensure GatesAir digital and social media presence is relevant and promoted within the EMEA sales team.
    • Opportunity pipeline management and forecasting
    • Work with RSM/DSM direct sales with technical knowledge & configuration help to increase sales
    • Support and help Dealer/Channel Network close/increase sales with technical knowledge and go to market strategies.
    • Perform Sales & Technical Presentations for customer events, international and regional trade shows
    • Provide feedback to product line & engineering for new product development
    • Regular International travel



    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Must have knowledge of complete cycle of broadcast technology workflows from studio to transmission, must have familiarity with GatesAir products.
    • Minimum of 15 years broadcast industry experience coupled with a proven track record in a solution-based sales environment.
    • Proven experience with international dealer networks essential.
    • Detailed technical knowledge of broadcast systems in order to converse competently with customers.
    • CRM user experience required; preferably with Salesforce.
    • A flexible, committed and professional business approach is expected at all times. 
    • Excellent numeric and presentation skills are critical.
