    Specific duties include but are not limited to

    GatesAir is seeking a highly motivated, innovative Program Manager with strong team leadership and program management skills. PM will be responsible for managing the development, integration and deployment of military transmitter systems which require the formulation and implementation of coherent program plans, leadership of large teams, and coordination with Sr. Management, functional departments and customers.

    Job Description:

     

    • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
    • Participates in the negotiation of the contract and contract changes.
    • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
    • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, including: planning and monitoring program budget, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, and maintaining program schedule and technical performance.
    • Monitors all program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules and cost commitments.
    • Identifies existing or potential program risks and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
    • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
    • Oversees the generation, quality and timeliness of all written customer deliverables and reports.
    • Travel - 25%

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field and at least 7 plus years of related PM experience.
    • Experience in Military and/or Government run contracts and programs.
    • Experience with Risk and Change Management.
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams and interfacing with customers directly.
    • Experience supporting and participating in technical design review.

     

     

    Preferred Additional Skills:

     

    • Experience in the development of naval hardware and software for military aircraft
    • MBA or Masters in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Self-motivated and accountable
    • Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, when having no direct authority over them
