Specific duties include but are not limited to

We are hiring an embedded software developer for the Intraplex software team.  Responsibilities include: 

  • Design and implement software for real-time, multi-threaded applications on both RTOS and Linux platforms; produce new algorithms and logic to enhance the product features; apply IP networking concepts related to providing packet loss protection techniques for media transport applications such as: Forward Error Correction, ARP, and Packet Duplication etc.
  • Provide maintenance/support for existing network transport products in the Intraplex product line by solving customer reported issues and implementing new features.
  • Compose, design and develop product documentation, participate in peer code reviews, provide product support as needed to Service. Interact with customers and the Sales team.
  • Participate in product functional test and pre-release validation.
  • Participate as a member of a geographically distributed software team.

Qualifications

  • 2  years embedded software development experience for real-time control and monitoring on Linux or other real-time operating systems such as Free RTOS using C and/or C++. Experience to include work on Linux kernel or drivers.
  • BSEE or BSCS with course work in microprocessors and the C and C++ programming language

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter, able to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

GatesAir offers a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401k matching and vacation starting out at 3 weeks annually.  Starting salary $88,000, dependent on experience.
