Kickstart your accounting career in a role where you'll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, develop core financial skills, and build a strong foundation for your future in accounting.  The Jr. Accountant will be responsible for vendor invoices for GatesAir.  This role will deal directly with vendors and procurement to resolve invoice discrepancies and will interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.  This position offers room for growth in a department that supports a worldwide organization. 

Responsibilities include:

• Review and process vendor invoices ensuring appropriate documentation, accurate calculations and coding, proper approvals, and compliance with contracts/purchase orders as well as policies and procedures
• Ensure timely resolution of invoice discrepancies
• Perform audits by researching returned checks, outstanding checks and duplicate payments
• Perform account reconciliation activities
• Provides back-up support for the payroll and accounts payable functions.
• Support the implementation of a new ERP system.
• May participate in special projects such as continuous improvement initiatives, audits and financial analysis initiatives.

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in accounting
• Demonstrate efficiency and flexibility in performing detailed tasks
• Experience with customer service
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
• Problem solving skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment
• Solid organizational and time-management skills

Starting wage for position is $21.50, depending on experience.
